Get Life Right

Accessibility

Get Life Right has an ongoing commitment to ensuring that the content on this website is accessible to all visitors. Our website has been designed in accordance with guidelines laid down by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 1.0.

Navigation

Most pages contain a link to the home page via the Get Life Right logo. Where the website causes a new window to open, a "[x] Close" link is provided to close the new window.

We have put a lot of effort into making sure that Get Life Right is simple and easy to use, and the navigation system has been constructed in a consistent fashion to provide clear navigation pathways throughout the website.

Design

We've ensured that the design of our website has taken into account the needs of our different users. As such, we've implemented the following:

  • The website content is laid out in an easy-to-navigate way, taking into consideration people with speech readers
  • The website is designed for a 1024x768 (XGA) screen resolution so horizontal scrolling is not normally required
  • All content images on the website are provided with descriptive ALT attributes
  • We use descriptive hyperlink text
  • We do not use frames in the website design
  • We have an easy-to-see web colour scheme and an easier-to-read non-serif font type, size and colour

Enlarging text

To permanently enlarge the text in your internet browser follow the instructions for your browser type. If you have problems changing your settings, use the Help menu in your browser toolbar.

  • In Internet Explorer, Mozilla and Firefox, go to the View menu and select Text Size
  • In Opera, go to the File menu, select Preferences then Fonts and then change Minimum font size (pixels)
  • In Safari, go to the View menu and select Make Text Bigger or press the Apple Key and then the plus key (then +)

JavaScript

JavaScripts are small programmes built into website pages to add extra features such as form validation and are used across our website. All modern browsers support JavaScript, however if yours does not, you will not be able to access certain interactive areas of the website.
